Who Are We?

     5 Yen customs was founded on the inspiration of the multiple Japanese tuning shops who specialize in unique customs work and purpose-built tuning. A shop as awesome as those in Japan needs to exist where the fan-base is the biggest: right here in America.

     That's where we come in; our restoration work and custom styling replicate the out-of-the-box thinking that overseas' tuning shops are known for. Import cars in the States now have a place to go and get an extra import touch.

    The owner of 5 Yen Customs has been a long-time import fan; after living in Japan for 3 years, he gathered and studied the vibes of their tuning culture. Wildly diverse, they showed that the owner's pride of their car is more important than making others turn their heads.

An eye for details will build a masterpiece.

So where are we and what do we do?

    5 Yen Customs is rapidly building a foundation. Beginning auto restoration in Japan, we have since moved to South Carolina for a few years. Though our following is rapidly growing, we are still a small customs shop. By 2022, we will be moving our entire shop to Washington State, where we hope to grow our production beyond private one-off builds.
